About this deal

Please let me know if anyone knows when this board gets working (or is already working) with opnsense or pfsense. As you can see in the above image I’ve done a modification on the case by drilling a hole above the USB power connector. documentation for your board and get comfortable dealing with incomplete or even conflicting specs).

If you've never tried to bring up a circuit board before with embedded Linux, this is exactly what it is like.

Note that I also tried the official firmware FriendlyWRT, and some other custom WRTs version and all are able to get past 900+ Mbps. I mean even the RaspberryPi model 4B offering a model with that much memory while the CPU is less powerful. But it can be used as a printer server, network router, file server, or for various purposes that do not require a screen. The reason is concerns from the OpenWRT community about using the open source driver built in mainline Linux rather than the closed one with proprietary firmware blob by Realtek.

We recommend using a machine with 32GB of RAM and a large-capacity, high-speed SSD, and we do not recommend using virtual machines. I think some entries mixed smp_afffinity_list and smp_affinity, though I can’t say for sure since it takes time to review it. In addition, for CPUs like the S922X or A311D, mixing A73 and A55, I’d bet better memory performance and latency on the A55 core than on the A73, and it could actually make the network run faster on the little core. My workstation is a Ryzen 2700X and the Ethernet is an onboard interface on the ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming K4 motherboard with the latest firmware at this date.CenturyLink requires you to tunnel IPv6, so that on top of the PPPoE was a bit much for it, I could only IPv6 at about 300mbps.
